It’s hard to believe that this Sunday is my FINAL service with you! There is a great celebration planned that includes the Bell Choir, three people sharing stories of where they have seen God’s presence in the last 3 1/2 years and a Release from Covenantal Promises led by Regional Representative, who is both friend and colleague, the Rev. Dr. Linda Yates! Followed by lunch with proceeds to the Mi’Kmaw Native Friendship Centre, since it’s the Indigenous Day of Prayer.

Last Sunday was a highlight of my ministry, to baptize Ali with so many of his friends present. and to see the line up of people come forward with water from their homes to use in the baptism overwhelmed me with joy. You demonstrated everything in our Core Values Statement: United in Faith, Strengthened by Friendship, Building a Community of Love and Justice.
My week has been full of trying to tie up loose ends, although as soon as I cross one thing off my list, at least one more gets added. I met with Cathy yesterday to ensure that some admin tasks I routinely do won’t get dropped, I met some of the Leadership last evening for a workshop entitled How to Have the Best Relationship With Your Next Minister, tonight is my last meeting with the Leadership Team. I spent some time taking my name and contact information off various places of the website, and I updated the Leadership Board at the back of the sanctuary. I think all the info is current and correct, if not, Cathy has access to Canva, where I created all of it. My last official day is June 24th, although I have a wedding booked for July 11th and will be clearing out my office sometime before then.
