A Day Late… April 11, 2023

Happy Easter Everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend… There were 18 of us around the table at the home of one of my sister’s on Sunday, ranging in age from 5-90. And then yesterday, I just chilled out… and was in bed by 9! I’ve already sent the bulletin material off to Cathy, I’m working on getting the website completed, and then going to tackle the data from the Listening Circles!

On Wednesday, I’ll be doing all the things to get ready for worship… which this week includes rehearsing for the Courtroom Drama that will be part of the service on Sunday. We will celebrate Holy Humour this Sunday, which is not just something I dreamed up. 😉 You can read more about it here. Come and be prepared to laugh and enjoy yourselves!

April 3, 2023

It’s Holy Week! The week we accompany Jesus on his journey to Jerusalem… to his betrayal… torture… death and then resurrection! I encourage you to walk through the entire story. We are participating in the Ecumenical Good Friday Service at Christ Church @ 10:30 AM.

This week I’m only in the office today and Wednesday as I’m taking time off for the extra days I worked last week. So, it’s a short week, but these two days are packed!

Then we celebrate with the start of our new series, Unearthing Joy on Sunday at 10:00 AM! There will be special music from the choir, we will also celebrate communion. You can print an invitation to give to a friend or neighbour.

The last Listening Circle was held yesterday afternoon; I am delighted at how many of you took the time to share your thoughts, hopes and concerns about our church. Now comes the challenge of compiling the data! I know from experience that it’s a big undertaking, so most of my time, beyond preparing for worship is going to be spent working with that data. When I’m finished, we’ll have a congregational gathering to hear the results and discuss next steps.
