Midweek Message – October 11th

By now, most of you know that I’m NOT going to Israel this coming Friday. While I’m very disappointed, I am feeling very unsettled as well and both of those feelings are overshadowed by shock and grief of the events that are unfolding in Israel/Palestine. In situations like this, which is so complex, I oftenContinue reading “Midweek Message – October 11th”

Midweek Message – October 5

A day long meeting of the Future Directions Committee of the Region followed by a Transition Team meeting last night prevented me from getting to my usual Wednesday timetable. Worship this week is Thankful for Commandments? Familiar texts to many of us, the 10 commandments. We enjoyed delicious drink and food, listened to someContinue reading “Midweek Message – September 27”

Now that I have your attention! 😉 We actually don’t hear that in the scripture reading today, but it’s in the passage immediately preceding it. And in the BibleWorm podcast that I listened to last week, they speculated thatContinue reading “Are We Sarah?”

Midweek Message – September 20th

I hope that aside from the inconvenience of losing power, everyone managed okay in the storm last week. We didn’t even lose power at our place. Every week, I say it’s a busy week! 😉 There was Food Bank yesterday morning, then I met with the Property Committee in the afternoon and then the OfficialContinue reading “Midweek Message – September 20th”

Midweek Message – September 13th

We had a GREAT Breakfast with Jesus; lots of food and great conversation. I managed to get a couple of pictures in while folks were singing. Stay tuned for the next one. Worship this week! Genesis 18:1-15; 21:1-7; it’s the story of Isaac born to Sarah and Abraham in their old age, long after theyContinue reading “Midweek Message – September 13th”

Midweek Message – September 6th

I’m back! I hope you all had some time to enjoy family, friends and God and creation this summer. I spent a great deal of my time in my gardens, even though it hasn’t been the greatest year for veggies. My husband totally rebuilt and expanded out deck, so that has been a great spotContinue reading “Midweek Message – September 6th”
