I’m back after 2 weeks of productive Study Leave and a couple of days of comp time! My time away was refreshing and renewing as I did a deep dive into Advent and then attended the Lester Randall Preaching Festival, which included listening to some great preaching as well as attending/ participating in 3 workshops. I’ll write more about those in another post.
Today has been a whirlwind, thankfully I had completed most of the bulletin before I left, there were just a few details to finalize. There was a Study Group this morning, a meeting with the Continuing Education Committee of the Atlantic School of Theology this afternoon, catching up with Cathy, I popped in on Workshop Wednesday… and tonight there’s a meeting of the Renovation/Sales teams. A FULL first day back. Tomorrow I’ll spend some time getting a draft of my reflection on paper and all the other bits and pieces that don’t make it into the bulletin, such as the Prayers of the People etc.

We will be marking Remembrance Day in worship this week, you may have already received an email from the office inviting you to bring any photos, mementoes, etc. to display on the communion table. We will also be enjoying the fourth course of the Theological Banquet, this time the Missional one.
Looking forward to seeing everyone on Sunday!
