Midweek Message – October 15, 2025

Worship – We continue with the Theological Banquet series this week and this week we will be worshipping in the ‘spiritual’ style.’ Worship will be much less lively than it was last week. One of the way that people who feast in the ‘spiritual’ stream live out their faith are those who are mystical, those who are deeply attracted to or enlivened by rituals associated with a contemplative or awakened life. The rituals may come from various faith traditions, but they might include things like centering prayer, lectio or visio divina, silence, meditation, movement, journal-keeping, or praying the labyrinth. So come with an open mind and heart to experience God in this way.

This is a labyrinth that I walked in Dublin when I was there in 2019; you have NO idea how long I waited to get a photo without any people on it.

Two funerals this week, Diane MacDonald at 2 this afternoon (Thursday) and Robert Bell II on Saturday @ 11 , along with a Leadership Team meeting, and a Study Group have kept me at top speed, especially as its a short week given the holiday on Monday! I’ll be glad to take a breath next week as I enter into two weeks of Study Leave, I’ll be doing some Advent preparation as well as attending a preaching event in Toronto.
