What a wonderful service we had at Woodlawn United with all six of the Dartmouth Churches participating! All six clergy participated in some way; I co-presided at communion along with Michael Mugford from Cole Harbour Woodside. A choir of 60, including four from St. James, an almost full house, we ran out of communion elements, the last 12-15 people got the stash of rice crackers. All six clergy participated in some way! For those of you who weren’t there, here are a few photos.

Last Sunday evening, there was a special commemorative service from St. John’s that is available to watch on YouTube; you can watch it below. I haven’t had a chance to watch it yet!
Worship this week is focused on camping and perhaps more specifically on Camp Kidston; we have a video that the Camping Ministry created to watch as well as a couple of people involved in Camp Kidston coming to talk about their experience. After church there is a soup lunch with a freewill offering and the proceeds will go to Camp Kidston. (Must remember to make dessert!)
My week is full of the variety of things that make up ministry, creating the bulletin and PowerPoint, a meeting with the Transition Team, a meeting with the United Churches for Dartmouth, connecting with the Food Bank, a few one on one meetings, filling out a survey for the national church, following up on a new sign insert. Dropping in at the Open House at MacPhee Centre for Creative Learning, attending a class on AI and Ministry, and a Zoom gathering of other Intentional Interim Ministers from across the country. On Saturday, I’m meeting with the final year students at AST to talk about ‘Beginnings and Endings.’ This is the third year I’ve been invited to do this; it’s always great to connect with students who are already in ministry part-time and who are excited and enthusiastic.
