Jackie Clark is leading worship this week while I attend the Annual Regional Meeting in Sackville, NB. Fundy Saint Lawrence Dawning Waters and Bermuda Nova Scotia will meet together for the first time since 2019 and I’m looking forward to seeing some of my colleagues that I haven’t seen in person since then! I’m part of a team that is leading the gathering through a process led by Rev. Janet Gear on Undivided Love, I have the book and may use it to create a worship series next year. I’ve also been invited to participate in the laying on of hands of one of the ordinands, Jessie Crabtree was a student of mine while I was at Stairs, I feel immense honour and privilege to be a part of this ritual.
I was delighted to be in attendance at the Scout Banquet once again this year; here are some pics as the beavers ‘swim up,’ the cubs ‘leap up,’ and I’m not sure what the scouts and ventures do. Awards for service were given to some of the leaders including Joyce Wylie, but I didn’t manage to get a picture of that!

It was Wellness Wednesday for Seniors and Max Meier from Nova Scotia Health gave and interesting and informative session on MAID.
He is willing to come again for an evening presentation. Many thanks to those who make soup and dessert, who set up and tear down, who do dishes and make coffee. Thanks especially to Joan Clark and Debra Keays-White who spearhead the entire thing.
The Regional Property Committee has deferred their decision on our request to sell the hall and undertake a renovation until their June 26th meeting. They complimented us on the thoroughness of the documentation, however, they view requests like ours through a 10 year horizon and have some questions that they have invited the Future Directions Committee to engage with us on. The Future Directions Committee met this afternoon, it’s my last meeting as Chair (or member) of the committee, and I recused myself from the discussion about St. James. They have asked to meet with the Leadership Team on June 18th at our regularly scheduled meeting.
