We conclude our Who Are the People in Our Neighbourhood series by welcoming Elder Debbie Eisan from the Mi’Kmaw Native Friendship Centre. We are going to leave the little houses up until we close for August, so if you haven’t brought one in yet, you still have time.

Last week, Lauren Cullen and Kayla Heisler shared some of their work at MacPhee Centre for Creative Learning, along with ways to be an ally. They left a handout with some useful links which are below:

Worship – The scripture is Acts 16: 11-16; it’s a story of listening, of hospitality, of open hearts, which is also the title of my reflection: Open Hearts.

I’ve been racking my brains trying to think of something we can use for mail, especially when not all people have access to the office. While I was clearing out the Worship Supply room, I came across this unit that had been taken out of the sanctuary as part of the general decluttering. And thought to myself, “I bet that would fit on top of the bookshelf outside of Cathy’s office!” And sure enough it did. So there are slots for each member of the Leadership Team, as well as some groups/teams/committee.
This week has been full of worship prep, updating the website and Facebook page, creating some promo material for this coming Sunday, meetings with some individuals, a Leadership Team meeting, doing some prep for the in person Regional Meeting, participating in the monthly Association of Ministers meeting. It has been a quieter meeting than the last few… although, I have received and responded to more than 60 emails since Sunday!
