Midweek Message – April 3, 2025

It’s week 5 of our Lenten Series: Everything In Between. This week it’s Righteousness and Mercy; the story of Zacchaeus, the Tax Collector; it’s found in Luke 19: 1-10 As I’ve been pondering this story, I can’t help but wonder if this is a sudden conversion or is this something that has been stirring in Zacchaeus for a while? Had he been hearing of Jesus and his stories for a while and this was a turning point? Or was it indeed just as it was written, something of a ‘born again’ experience?

Thanks to those who have already signed up for ‘Lunch and Liturgy” on Maundy Thursday; as I indicated, we need at least 12 folks, so it would be helpful to know ASAP who plans to come. You can call or email me to let me know: 902-483-1422 or reverendcatherinemacdonald@gmail.com. Deadline is April 10th, but not waiting till then would be appreciated. πŸ˜‰

Here are Debra Keays-White and Kathy Ibel who led us through the business portions of our Annual Congregational Meeting last week.

If anyone wants their shoeboxes back, they are all unwrapped and in the choir room on the pew.

It was my turn to do the Spiritual Reflection this week for the United Churches for Dartmouth; pay no attention to all the prescription bottles behind me, that’s not how I manage my anxiety! πŸ˜‰ They are for an upcoming service.
