I’m back from the Region’s Annual Meeting to a VERY full week and thankful that my presence was not needed at Food Bank yesterday. That enabled me to sleep a bit later and work on some things at home at a more leisurely pace. I’ll write a separate post about the Annual Meeting next week.
It’s Pentecost Sunday this week! One of my favourite Sundays of the year. Stairs United is joining us for worship, the choir has an anthem and I’ve heard that there might be cupcakes! May 17th is International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia, so I’m going to connect that with the scripture reading of Acts 2: 1-21 and the reflection title is Languages of Love: Celebrating Diversity on Pentecost.
I set aside my love of order and just wrapped these candles in material I had on hand and scrounged from Bonnie Hudson! Just like the Holy Spirit that can’t be controlled!

I took most of Monday off aside from putting the bulletin together and a Property Committee in the afternoon. Tuesday, I caught up on emails, got ready for the Grief Group and the regional Future Directions Committee meeting and then had a Zoom meeting with a group from the United Churches for Dartmouth in the evening. Wednesday was full! Grief Group in the morning, Future Directions Committee in the afternoon and then a LONG, but informative Official Board Meeting in the evening. Today I met with an AST student, I’m working on the PowerPoints, have a Zoom meeting in early afternoon and perhaps even get a little start on my reflection!
