Midweek Message – March 27

Holy Week!

While the schedule at St. James is not nearly as full during Holy Week as some churches I’ve served, incorporating the Bell Choir, our usual choir, and communion into the Sunday morning service was a bit of a challenge! The scripture is Mark 16: 18. Reflection in entitled He Is Not Here!

Not to mention the preparation for Good Friday, and here’s one last plug for the Good Friday Labyrinth Walk, and remember, if you have mobility challenges, I’ve also created a way for you to participate using one of my handcrafted labyrinths. Good Friday: 12-4 in the Gym.

I am deeply touched at your response to the hunger crisis in Gaza, over $500 has come in and will go out sometime in the next week or so. I have always said that people are so very generous when their hearts are touched. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

We had a great time on Saturday afternoon making some silk-dyed eggs!

In the Interim Ministry Midpoint Review, there were a number of comments made about making sure people without computers were kept in the loop, and it sounded as if those were made by people WITH computers who were concerned for others. Rest assured, we make every effort to ensure that those without internet access either get mailed the information, or that it’s available for pickup on Sundays. We may not get it 100% right, but that’s what we aim for.
