I had full intentions of writing this last night at home, but got home to the news that our modem is out of commission and we won’t get another one till Friday, maybe Saturday! So I may be at the church on Saturday finishing up my Sunday preparations that I usually do at home.
Worship this Sunday is a continuation of the Marks of Discipleship Series with a focus on Honouring the Body; the scripture is Mark 14: 3-9. Following worship is the Midpoint Check-in on the Interim Ministry. Rev. Ross Bartlett will do that on behalf of the region; the Transition Team is once again providing a light lunch!

I picked up the labyrinth from the regional office in Sackville, NB on Monday; I’m excited about a different kind of Good Friday offering.
I’m loving the two Study Groups on Thriving Congregations; Rev. Lorraine McKenzie Shepherd (what a great surname for a minister!) found that thriving United Church congregations of ALL sizes shared similar spiritual attributes: they were visionary, hospitable, joyful, communal, accountable, humble, open-hearted, and risk taking. So far we have explored prayer, radical hospitality, and being joyful.

Thanks to those who responded to the survey already, some of you gave me some verbal feedback, it would be helpful to get some more ‘official feedback, so I’m including the survey again. It’s short!
The weeks fly by! Full of so much variety, from weekly worship preparation, to social media and marketing creation, from planning for post Easter worship to conversations about tech, from being reminded to write an Easter letter and spending a bit of time with the Wednesday craft group, from spending time with a family to plan a funeral, to connecting with the folks who used the gym for a clothing exchange to conversations with the Regional Minister about property. And of course, ongoing conversations and interactions with Cathy, the phone calls and emails. I am NEVER bored!
