Midweek Message – January 31

Worship this week continues our series on Atomic Church, how small changes can have a big impact. The scripture is Mark 5:21-43; it’s two stories, one nested inside another. One of healing, one of a girl restored to life.

I keep adapting my presentation for Sunday after church… shifting the slides around… I think I’m done! πŸ˜‰ However today is only Wednesday, lots can happen between now and Sunday! A light lunch is being served courtesy of the Transition Team. I hope you all can stay as this will determine next steps. One of the ways that will help us move forward is your participation in the Thriving Churches Study Group. This book was written about United Churches, so it’s pertinent to us. As you can see from the poster, there are two opportunities, I hope most of you choose to participate.

I worked at home on Monday, although as I posted on Facebook, I remember when a snow day meant a NO work day. But the internet has changed all that. And most of the time I appreciate that.

Some of the out of the ordinary things I’ve been about this week are connecting with Accent Music about an Easter activity with the students, a meeting along with Murray Wylie with Dartmouth Players, Cathy and I made a decision on a new computer for the office, so that the office can run more efficiently and effectively. And I will no longer have to print the bulletin from my computer. πŸ˜‰

I’ve adjusted by Study Leave dates slightly; I’ll be away February 7-13, this will allow me to do any follow up from Sunday as well as be present for Food Bank on Tuesday.
