We had a GREAT Breakfast with Jesus; lots of food and great conversation. I managed to get a couple of pictures in while folks were singing. Stay tuned for the next one.
Worship this week! Genesis 18:1-15; 21:1-7; it’s the story of Isaac born to Sarah and Abraham in their old age, long after they should be able to have children. Sarah laughs to herself when she hears that and the question that popped into my head as I listened to my favourite Bible podcast, Bibleworm, was: Are we Sarah? Do we believe we are too old to be the bearers of new life? If you’d like to listen to the podcast, you can find it here.
Of course, all of us are keeping a close eye on the weather this week; please keep checking your email and our Facebook and website for updates on worship. And if the police are advising people to stay off the roads, stay off the roads!
This week, once again, has been a whirlwind. I worked at home on Monday as I had a number of Zoom calls, so it made sense to do that from home. Along with the usual things involved in getting ready for Sunday morning, the Worship Committee met last night and made some plans from now until Christmas, the Transition Team meets tonight, Thursday, I’ve got a day long meeting of the Future Directions Committee of the Region, and I’ve got the Thanksgiving letter to write as well at my report to the Official Board . Those are the big things in my week, along with getting ready for a workshop I’m leading at Crossroads Pastoral Charge in Timberlea. I guess I’ll be writing my sermon on Saturday…
I hope to see you all on Sunday!
