Midweek Message – September 6th

I’m back! I hope you all had some time to enjoy family, friends and God and creation this summer. I spent a great deal of my time in my gardens, even though it hasn’t been the greatest year for veggies. My husband totally rebuilt and expanded out deck, so that has been a great spot to sit with a book and a beverage. I went to Manitoba with my mother and connected with some cousins that I hadn’t seen for 45 years! If you want to check out a little of what that trip was like, you can check out my own website.

Breakfast With Jesus! You are invited to bring fruit, cheese, muffins, crackers etc. to share as we worship around tables in the Lower Hall this Sunday. We will worship the way the early church did! I can’t promise to bring these cinnamon buns, but… 😉 This will be relaxed and casual as we we reconnect. This week we will NOT be streaming worship; you will have to be there in person to experience it. We will be back to streaming worship from the sanctuary next week.

I like to ease my way back in after the summer… however yesterday was a 13 hour day! Food Bank first thing in the morning, getting the bulletin ready and reading and responding to some emails, popped in and connected with the Grandmothers to Grandmothers group, and then as part of my work on the Future Directions Committee of the Region, the Pastoral Relations minister and I made a visit to the Middle Stewiacke church to offer some guidance on their future.

Today, I reconnected with Cathy, worked on a workshop, made some phone calls, answered some more emails, made plans for an Official Board meeting and did some worship planning for the fall.
