- The Hall Options Committee: T. A. Scot Architects will work with us to develop the feasibility study necessary to proceed with any plans for our hall. We will also work with Efficiency NS as part of an effort to reduce our energy footprint, as encouraged by the UCC Faithful Footprints program.
- Ministry and Personnel: The recent Nova Scotia increases to minimum wage will be implemented. Also, Motion: that the secretary and music director receive the UCC cost of living increase, retroactive to Jan 1.
- The Transition Team presented a draft communication strategy document for consideration and discussion.
- The Stewards presented a draft budget for 2024, recommending that we begin the practice of preparing budgets before the start of a new year. Motion: that we present the draft budget for 2024 at the congregational annual meeting.
- Region 15 Self-Assessment Form – online form due by June 30th.
- Correspondence – Information regarding HRM tax changes, increase in pulpit supply costs, and Ministry Personnel Cost-of-Living increases.
- In addition, we had conversations about who is responsible for the kitchen, possible options for new AV equipment, how bequests are handled, the existence of a Benevolent Fund and how nominations have been handled.
The date of the next OB meeting is Tuesday, June 27 @ 7 pm, if business warrants.
Reminder, the date of the Annual Meeting is Wednesday, May 24, at 7:30 pm.
