This week seems to be stuffed full! I have a variety of meetings: United Churches for Dartmouth, Transition Team, the Annual Meeting for the Association of United Church Clergy, for which I am the treasurer, a meeting of the Region 15 Future Directions Committee as we try and flesh out a proposal we are making to the Annual Meeting, the Wednesday Spiritual Deepening/Bible Study Group, various meetings with church people. And of course, bulletin and worship preparation!

A reminder that I’m on Study Leave next week, so there won’t be a Monday Message. I’ve got two things on the go: I’ve signed up for a self study on sermon prep through Backstory Preaching, hoping to create a process for getting my sermon down on paper (computer screen) before Saturday. I’ve also booked myself into the Barat Spirituality Centre for three days of silent retreat.  Part of the ongoing expectations of being a Spiritual Director is going on retreat annually. I’ll spend time ‘praying with my camera,’ walking and generally letting my soul catch up with my body.
