The Hall Options Committee continues discussions with Sidewalk Development. In order to decide what is the best option to pursue with them, including a sale, we need to find out the cost of moving all of our utilities from the hall into the main church building. Motion: That the Saint James Hall Committee be authorized to initiate a feasibility study that will address relocation of necessary services currently located in the church hall over to the church building and funds to be taken from those held by the Trustees.
The Reopening Committee determined that it is time to defer to public health guidelines: masks are recommended, not required. Motion: That since the reason it was created no longer applies, the Reopening Committee be dissolved.
The Transition Team is currently working on a Behavioural Covenant and researching new Governance Models for St James as well as a Communication Strategy. Motion: A fifth goal be added to the goals for the Interim Ministry period: To work on renewal and revitalization of the congregation. (Original Goals Below)
The Stewards presented and recommended a deficit budget for 2023. Motion: Receive the 2023 operating budget submitted by the Stewards and recommend it to the congregation as the budget for 2023.
Motion: That we name Shauna MacDonald and Joyce Wylie as our delegated to Region 15.
